A teen was injured when she was hit by a vehicle while walking to school in La Vergne.
According to city officials in La Vergne, the 14-year-old boy was hit at the corner of Floyd Mayfield and Sand Hill Road around 6:30 a.m.
The teen was taken to The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
He suffered injuries to his face and head. The severity of his injuries were unknown.
The driver was issued citations.
