A 22-year-old was treated and released from the hospital after being injured in a shooting near Watkins Park in North Nashville.
Early reports from officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the victim was between 14 and 16 years old, but they later released the victim was 22-year-old Raphale Holt.
Multiple shots were fired after a fight broke out at 1215 Ireland Street around 4:45 p.m.
Detectives were told that the shooter was walking with two other young men when he saw Holt sitting outside a home and fired at him.
The gunman and his friends then fled on 14th Avenue North toward Jefferson Street.
Police believed the shooting appeared to involve a lingering dispute among certain individuals in that area. Detectives were continuing in their efforts to confirm the gunman’s name.
