A teen has pleaded guilty in a fatal shooting at a Tennessee National Guard Armory in Perry County.

Perry County sheriff’s officials said Christopher Farrar has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with that fatal shooting back in 2014.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents said Farrar killed Sergeant First Class Michael Braden, telling friends he wanted to make history.

Farrar has been in custody since last July awaiting trial.

With the plea, he'll be processed and moved to a maximum security prison where he’s expected to serve at least 40 years.
