Metro Nashville police searched for a gunman who shot and critically injured an 18-year-old man early Monday.
Officers were called to a crash near the intersection of George L. Davis Boulevard and Church Street at about midnight Monday.
According to police, two vehicles collided at the intersection and when officers checked on the driver of a white SUV, they found he had been shot multiple times.
Officers said they don't believe the victim was shot while driving, but added that the victim was being uncooperative about how, where, or when the shooting had happened.
Investigators said the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
Officers said they do not believe the other driver involved in the crash had anything to do with the shooting. She was uninjured in the collision.
