A big endorsement was announced for gubernatorial candidate Craig Fitzhugh.
Members of the Tennessee Black Caucus of State Legislators formally endorsed Fitzhugh Friday.
The decision came as members called Fitzhugh a longtime ally of the caucus. They added he has worked diligently with black legislators during his legislative tenure.
“Representative Craig Fitzhugh embodies what a true Tennessean is – hardworking, a dedicated family man, willing to answer the call when others are in need, and always willing to listen to every voice,” Representative Rick Staples of Knoxville said.
Fitzhugh said he was both grateful and honored to be endorsed by the caucus.
