NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee's Free Fishing Day is Saturday, meaning anyone can fish for free without a license.
The Tennessee Wildlife and Resource Agency set up the day so that people of all ages and experiences can get out on the state's public waters to enjoy the sport.
On June 8, anyone can fish for free, and in addition to free fishing day, children 15 years old and younger can enjoy free fishing week from Saturday, June 8 to Friday, June 14.
Multiple events will be held for kids during free fishing week. Visit the TWRA website for more information on events and fishing licenses.
