Abortion activists announced a new project called "Tennessee Stories Project" supporting those who have already gone through abortion, and those who may choose to in the future.

They made the announcement outside the state capitol Wednesday.

Organizers said they want to erase the stigma that comes with terminating a pregnancy.
.
They hope women will share their reasons for abortion and erase the stigma that causes many women to live in fear and shame.

One Franklin mother told the story of her daughter, Grace. The mom decided to terminate her pregnancy in the second trimester when doctors diagnosed Grace with a fatal illness in the womb.

Planned Parenthood leaders said one in three women will have an abortion at some point of their reproductive lifetime.
