NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — TGI Fridays has canceled its 2020 Global Business Conference at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center amid Coronavirus outbreak concerns.

The Global Business Conference and World Bartender Championship was set to begin Monday.

However, it was canceled due to concerns surrounding travel and the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.

Read the company's full statement below:

"As the concerns grow around the spread of coronavirus, we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Global Business Conference and World Bartender Championship in Nashville. While the chances are very slim that we would have an incident I can’t take the risk of even one person becoming sick or quarantined because of our event. While it is safe to go about your daily life/work the thought of having our most important people on airplanes for extended periods of time seems like an unnecessary risk. If you booked your own flight, hotel, car, etc. please cancel those reservations. Anything booked by the Events Team will be taken care of by them. The strategy we planned to roll out at this conference is still critical to our journey to being best in class, and we are working on alternative, digital means of sharing this information (more details to come)."
