NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — No money, no problem. If you don't carry cash, you can now send money to vendors that sell The Contributor through Venmo, a money transfer app on your phone.

You can find vendor Maurice B. by Charlotte Avenue where he sits on a bucket and sells newspapers.

Maurice better known as "Maurice the Bucketman" told us he's excited about Venmo.

The Contributoris a non-profit where the homeless, and formerly homeless, can buy newspapers for 50 cents and sell them for $2.

According to Maurice, The Contributor has been a part of Nashville through sunshine, rain, sleet, and snow.

"I never thought about writing. I got to my honest, I never finished high school. Where I came from, I never thought I was going to amount to nothing," Maurice said about starting to write for the paper.

The work has helped him pay his bills.

He hopes adding a Venmo QR code to the papers will generate more money for him.

So if you grab your wallet to find there's no cash, you can simply download Venmo, link your bank account, and send cash to @The-Contributor.

If you're worried about being on your phone, you can take one of the papers from a vendor, and pay for it on Venmo once you arrive at your final destination.

Vendors go to headquarters at the end of each week where they can collect their money since some of them don't have cell phones.
