BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVF) — Police said one man accused of stealing a donation jar from a Jet's Pizza in Kentucky has been arrested. The jar was raising money for a Bowling Green police officer fighting cancer.
Officer Ed Pulley is battling stage 3 cancer and officials said he and his family have received overwhelming support from the community.
A donation jar was placed on the check out counter at Jet's Pizza, but it went missing Sunday. Managers say the jar had about $500 in it.
"I'm hoping they're now aware of what they did and to whom they did it," said Jet's Pizza manager Elvis Bikic. "I hope they better themselves and I hope they regret what they did, because this is one of those crimes, it's horrible."
After posting the video on Facebook on Tuesday, Bowling Green Police say they now know who the two thieves are, but only one man, Quintin Cook, has been arrested.
Cook was booked into the Warren County Regional jail on charges of tampering with physical evidence and theft by unlawful taking under $500.
While police know the identity of the second suspect, they have not yet released his name.
Anyone with information on where they could be was asked to call Bowling Green Police at (270) 393-4244.
