NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Thousands of women enjoyed a day of pampering, and a chance to try out some new beauty products at the fifth annual Dollar General "A Day of Beauty" event.
The event was held Saturday at the Music City Center.
Women who attended took home free beauty samples and were able to take advantage of beauty services from experts at leading multi-cultural health and beauty brands.
Attendees said they learned a lot at the event.
"It is good to know what products work for our texture of hair," said one woman who attended. "I love it. I will come back next year."
The event included a panel discussion with actress Megan Good hosted by NewsChannel 5's Vicki Yates and a performance by R&B Artist Kenny Lattimore.
