Troopers were called to the scene of a fatal crash near Highway 431 in Spring Hill.
The incident was reported around 8:20 a.m. Friday in the 5100 block of Flat Creek Road.
Reports stated a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Michael Edwards, of Columbia, was headed east. Edwards went around a curve, lost control, and struck the front of another vehicle that was headed west with the driver's side of his vehicle.
Edwards was killed in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 55-year-old Malvin Ralston, of Rockvale, was not injured
Authorities said weather was a contributing factor in the crash. No further details were available.
