NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Three people were arrested early Wednesday after shots were fired into the air near Metro Nashville police officers.

Officers were called to a report of a fight at 18th Ave. North and Church Street at about 2:30a.m. Wednesday.

A responding officer reported a man fired multiple gunshots into the air, and then took off in a car with other people.

No one was hurt and no property was damaged by the gunfire.

According to police, the vehicle that the suspects got away in was later spotted on Murfreesboro Road. Officers were able to get the vehicle to stop and arrested the three people inside.

Officers said they were able to recover a long gun inside the vehicle. It's unclear what charges the three men will face.
