CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVF) — Three people were killed and one person is critically hurt after a major crash near Hopkinsville Friday morning.
Two passenger vehicles and one semi were involved in the crash, which happened around 5 a.m. in the Pennyrile Parkway southbound lanes.
The Christian County Sheriff's Office said two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the third person died of their injuries later while at Jennie Stuart Hospital. The fourth person is being treated for critical injuries at the same hospital.
One other person was hurt in the crash, but the sheriff's office said they were treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
A portion of the parkway was shut down on Friday morning as the sheriff's office was on scene investigating the crash.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
