NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Democratic Caucus Chairman Mike Stewart has called on Governor Haslam to personally supervise an investigation into so-called "intimidation tactics."

This came after the group received a report that a corrections officer, who recorded video of a prisoner beating a prison guard, had been arrested.

Stewart said “If the reports of this arrest are true, I call on Governor Haslam to investigate this arrest determine everyone who was involved in it and explain to the citizens how this outrage occurred”
.
We reached out to the DOC, who confirmed a corrections officer was arrested for bringing contraband into a facility.

DOC spokesperson Alison Randgaard said "The introduction of contraband of any kind, by anyone, is a felony and will not be tolerated by the Tennessee Department of Correction."
