Tennessee lawmakers sounded off after Tuesday night’s New Hampshire primary results were announced.
One of Tennessee’s top Republicans did not celebrate over Donald Trump’s win, but rather reveled in Hillary Clinton’s loss.
In a statement, state GOP Chairman Chris Haynes said the Democrats were in "chaos."
“Clinton leaves the Granite State in embarrassing fashion after a loss to a Socialist,” he said. "…There is no way Hillary Clinton will be able to credibly spin this defeat."
The statement didn't mention Trump or any other Republican candidates by name.
The Tennessee Democratic Party only had this to say about the results:
"Whether you 'Stand with Hillary' or 'Feel the Bern' it's clear that Democrats are the more qualified and serious candidates this election year. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for opportunity for all, strong families and communities and effective and accountable government."
