SMYRNA, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Town of Smyrna received a special gift from the family of fallen Blue Angels Captain Jeff Kuss yesterday morning.

The Captain Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial Facebook page announced the gift in a post. In a letter, Jeff's wife, Christina Kuss, thanks Smyrna and its citizens for always being so caring, saying the love they have shown her and her family still brings tears to her eyes.

The special gift included with the letter is one of Jeff's flight suits.

The Facebook post announcing the gift reads, "We at the Town could not be more thankful to the Kuss family for this precious gift, and cannot wait to display and have Smyrna citizens enjoy this cherished piece of the Kuss family for years to come!"

Blue Angels Captain Jeff Kuss died in 2016 during the Great Tennessee Air Show in Smyrna. The Captain Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial there honors his legacy.
