A woman was taken to an area hospital after a train struck her car in Berry Hill.
Officers with Metro Nashville Police were called to the scene Wednesday night shortly before midnight.
Police said the woman was driving down the tracks at Craighead Street and Oceanside Drive. She jumped out of the car before the train collided with her car.
The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage.
The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation but it's unclear if she was injured.
The railroad crossing reopened around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
