NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation has asked the public’s help in catching an accused bank robber who has been linked to crimes in several states, including Tennessee.

The FBI says the “Traveling Bandit” has robbed at least seven banks in six states since December 28, 2018.

Investigators believe he’s hit two banks in Tennessee – a U.S. Bank in Mt. Juliet and a Mountain Commerce Bank in Johnson City.

Here’s the full list of his alleged robbery spree:

  • December 28, 2018; Aventura, Florida; Capital Bank

So far, no one has been injured during the incidents.

Officials said he usually approaches the counter and presents a note demanding money and threatening a weapon and then leaves the bank on foot. He may be driving a white Ford Explorer or Expedition.

In most of the robberies, he’s worn similar clothing, including a black jacket, white t-shirt, and black baseball hat. He’s approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5’6” to 5’10”, with a medium build.

He also has tattoos on both arms.
