HARTSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A passing truck struck a Trousdale County Sheriff's deputy while he was assisting someone else yesterday evening.
While patrolling McMurry Blvd. in Hartsville, Deputy Clint Friar saw a vehicle stopped on the side of the road with its flashers on. He stopped to investigate, where he learned that the driver of the car stopped due to a dog being ran over.

Friar received non-life threatening injuries. Trousdale County Emergency Services transported him to Skyline Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
