GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) -- Up to 50 jobs were being added as part of an expansion at a south-central Kentucky truck assembler.
Governor Steve Beshear's office said D&B Trucks and Equipment Sales was investing $575,000 into the project to expand its operation in Glasgow.
D&B has been in business 14 years and currently employs 29.
The business planned to add 9,600 square feet to its operation, allowing the company to more than double its monthly production.
D&B has been building and selling truck gliders. It has also been purchasing old or wrecked semi-trucks, deconstructing them to the framing and reassembling them on a new chassis and shell with rebuilt engines, transmissions, and clutches. The gliders were customized with user-friendly components.
The state has approved the company for tax incentives of up to $400,000.
