TSA dog screeners used at BNA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — TSA has added new four-legged agents to the team at BNA, to help keep passengers safe.

Canine agents are being used more and more in airports for their ability to find explosives. As passengers pass by, the TSA canine will give them and their bags a sniff.

Officials say the dogs are a great security tool because they're mobile, unlike metal detectors and x-ray machines.

The TSA also says they want people to feel safe around the canines.

Agents do ask that if you're traveling with pets try to get in a line without a dog screener. They say even though their dogs are highly trained you never know how animals will react to one another.
