NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — This year's TSSAA Cheer and Dance Championships will be held virtually due to COVID-19 safety and health concerns.
The competition is usually held in-person every December, but coronavirus changed those plans.
This year, squads will compete with the Universal Cheerleaders Association's online system. They will film their routine at their school and upload the video.
The videos must be sent in by February 24. The championships will then be available for the public to watch on-demand on Varsity TV beginning March 6. Each team will receive one free one-month subscription to watch.
