A Tullahoma City Schools teacher was fired for lying about his licensing on a teacher application.
According to officials with the Tullahoma City Schools, special ed. teacher, Tyler Hatfield, said he was a licensed teacher with an application for teacher license in process.
However, once officials learned that wasn't true, Hatfield was immediately terminated from his position at West Middle School in Tullahoma.
Hatfield also served as a middle school boys basketball coach. He had been a district employee since 2010 and began serving in a teaching position in 2015.
