NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two 13-year-olds have been arrested after they were found behind the wheel of a car that was reported stolen earlier in the day.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata had been reported stolen Monday from Whispering Hills Drive.
An undercover Metro Police team followed the car to an apartment complex where the teens entered the security gate by piggybacking off a car who had entered the code to open the gate.
When officers attempted to block the car in after it was backed into a parking space, the driver put the car into gear and crashed in to the car parked beside the Sonata.
The two were then taken into custody and are charged with auto theft.
