2 Charged In Robbery Attempt At Nashville Kroger

Two people are in custody after an armed robbery attempt at a Nashville grocery store overnight. 

The incident happened at Kroger on Franklin Pike around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

Metro Nashville Police officers said two homeless men, who were previously banned from the store, came inside and filled up a shopping cart. 

When they were confronted by an employee, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to rob the victim.  

Police said when they arrived on the scene, they saw one of the suspects get rid of the gun inside the store. 

The suspects were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, public intoxication, and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.
