Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department have arrested two men in connection to a murder case from September.

Tyjuan Wallace,20, and William "Kevin" Lawrence,19, have been arrested for the murder of Eric Jackson. Both were indicted on a first degree murder charge.

Officers sent out this tweet saying the murder happened on Sept. 20 near Hadley Park and the African Street Festival.

Wallace was taken into custody Monday night on Formosa Street.  Lawrence was arrested on 14th Avenue South.

Investigators found that Wallace and Lawrence were the 2 gunmen in the alley behind the public library on 28th Avenue North that attacked Jackson.

The gunman on Jackson’s side of the car ordered him to open his door.  Jackson quickly attempted to drive away, but the vehicle got caught on a utility pole guy wire.  Jackson was shot in the head and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.  Both suspects fled on foot toward I-40.

Wallace and Lawrence were jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond each.
