LEBANON, Tenn. – Two men have been arrested after an investigation into a series of church burglaries in Wilson County.
Officials said 26-year-old Trevon Kyle Lawson and 25-year-old Giles Jacob Timbs were arrested Saturday night.
After several reports of burglaries in the area, detectives from both the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and Lebanon Police Department became involved in the case.
They were able to develop a leave on the suspects. Investigators were working surveillance when they saw two men leaving the Hunters Point Celebration Center at 2232 Hunters Point Pike in Lebanon.
Detectives then went to the rear of the building where the men had come from and found a rear window had been removed. Deputies then stopped the suspects and found a cash register from the building in the back seat of their vehicle.
Lawson and Timbs were taken into custody and charged with burglary. They were booked into jail on $7,500 bond each. A court appearance was scheduled for August 4.
The men were expected to face additional charges.
