PLEASANT SHADE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called to help with a death investigation in Smith County.
Investigators said the bodies of two men were found outside an abandoned home in the 100 block of Dillehay Road in the Pleasant Shade area. The investigation got underway around 7 p.m. Thursday.
At this point, officials said the deaths appear to be homicide.
They were identified as 39-year-old Devon Clark of Murfreesboro and 45-year-old Shannon Smith of Sparta.
Authorities said it was unclear how long the bodies had been there. Agents worked through the night at the scene, and the investigation remained active.
