DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two are dead following a crash involving an overturned commercial semi-truck on I-40 East around mile marker 167 Saturday morning.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's Smartway map, the crash was first reported just before 10 a.m. At the time of writing, it is estimated to be cleared by 6 p.m.
All eastbound lanes of the roadway are closed near the crash. Drivers from Dickson to Nashville should seek an alternate route. Westbound traffic has also been affected, with rubbernecking delays.
Multiple agencies are working the scene. THP says the scene is still very active, so they do not have more information at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
