Two Hit By Vehicle Near Nashville Airport

Two people were injured when a driver hit them then continued to drive away.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the two people were working on a broken trailer at Shauna Drive and Elm Hill Pike near the Nashville International Airport.

Officials said a driver hit the pair then continued to drive away. Officers later took the driver into custody about one mile away from the crash.

The driver was transported to Metro General Hospital, while police investigated if he they were impaired at the time of the incident.

The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. Their names were not released.

It was unclear whether or not charges would be filed.
