NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two Jonathan's Grille locations - both in Davidson County - have filed a lawsuit against Mayor John Cooper and the city of Nashville.
The attorney representing the Bellevue and Germantown locations says the suit was filed Friday in response to a story by a Nashville news station claiming that the mayor attempted a "cover-up" and was not transparent about COVID-19 cases in bars and restaurants.
The report has since been retracted. However, the attorney told NewsChannel 5 the lawsuit will continue, and claims information still shows restaurants have been targeted by the city.
