NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A portion of 101st Airborne Division Parkway has reopened in Clarksville following a deadly, overnight crash.
Clarksville Police officials say 28-year-old Rahim Perry and 21-year-old Breshaun Fortson were killed in the crash.
Around 2:20 a.m. Friday Perry was driving his Chrysler 200 convertible, with Fortson in the passenger seat, south on Preachers Mill Road.
Police say the convertible went through a red light at the intersection hitting a commercial tanker truck traveling westbound on 101st Airborne Division Parkway.
The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Clarksville camera in the city at Peachers Mill Rd. and 101st Airborne Davison Parkway shows cars are passing through intersection. Be on alert for police who may still be in area investigating double fatal. @NC5 pic.twitter.com/03PC2lW6Qj
