Undercover operation targeted human traffickers, two arrested

MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two Tennessee men have been arrested after an undercover human trafficking operation determined they were attempting to purchase illicit sex from minors.

A combined effort between multiple agencies and area police departments focused on identifying individuals seeking to engage in commercials sex acts with minors identified two men as fitting this description.

Edgar Gallegos, 35, of Morristown and Armadi Imade, 38, of Sevierville, made contact with undercover agents who were posing as an underage girl. Both men then arranged a meeting with "the girl" and both paid to have sexual intercourse with her.

Both men were promptly arrested and have been booked at the McMinn County Jail and each has been charged with one count Trafficking a Person for a Commercial Sex Act.

Gallegos' bond has been set at $50,000 while Imade's bond has been set at $125,000.
