Vanderbilt University says it’s investigating a racial slur that was found on a lecture hall chalkboard.
Vanderbilt students were sent an email Thursday, saying the incident was reported Sunday.
Campus police were made aware of the incident and began investigating. Metro Nashville police and the Tennessee Fusion Center were also notified, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
At this time, there are no known suspects or connections to a specific organization or group.
The university says security camera footage has not been helpful in the case. Anyone with information should contact university officials and police.
