CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A five-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle after a crash happened near the bus stop where she was standing.
The girl was with a woman at a bus stop on Providence Boulevard near Peachers Mill Road.
A 53-year-old driver in a Chevy Impala pulled out in front of another vehicle while turning from a private driveway onto Providence Boulevard.
It hit a Nissan Altima being driven by an 18-year-old. The Chevy went off the road and onto the sidewalk, hitting the child, who was waiting at the bus stop off the right side of Providence Blvd.
The child was transported to a Nashville hospital with a leg injury in stable condition. The 18-year-old was also transported to Tennova Medical Center after the airbag deployed. She was also in stable condition.
The 53-year-old was cited for failure to yield.
