WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Interstate 40 was shut down in Wilson County for nearly an hour Sunday night due to a vehicle pursuit.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the ordeal began in Putnam County and ended in Mt. Juliet, where the driver stopped and the car caught fire.
Police called paramedics to evaluate the driver.
It's unclear at this time why authorities were chasing the suspect.
