Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a woman dropped off her niece at Paragon Mills School and left her car running.
When she came back out, she noticed the car – a BMW which operates via key fob – was gone. She thought her infant baby was still in the car and called police.
Officers began looking for the vehicle and found it at a convenience store. Two men ran from the car and remain at large.

The baby was later found safe at a babysitter’s house.
The woman had previously dropped off the child before going to the school but forgot during the confusion of having her car stolen.
