A 27-year-old has been charged with vehicular homicide and DUI following the death of a woman in a Clarksville crash.
The crash happened early Wednesday morning at Peachers Mill Road and 101st Airborne Division Parkway.
Reports from crash investigators stated 27-year-old Bradley Vezeau allegedly failed to stop for a red light and crashed into a 1999 Dodge van driven by Christopher Conroy.
Conroy’s passenger, 49-year-old Judy Tapia, died from injuries she sustained in the crash.
Vezeau was charged with vehicular homicide, second offense DUI, violation of the implied consent law, and failure to obey a traffic control device. He was being held on a $300,000 bond.
Anyone with information on this crash has been urged to call CPD Traffic Unit Investigator Jennifer Szczerbiak at 931-648-0656, extension 5476.
Clarksville officials said Tapia's death was the city’s ninth traffic fatality for 2018. In 2017, Clarksville had 13 traffic fatalities.
Authorities urged everyone to be safe and not drink and drive this 4th of July holiday.
