NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have released the name of the victim who was shot and killed Thursday evening.
They said 20-year-old Cianan Derek Napier was shot multiple times during a dispute.
The incident happened in the area around Glastonbury Road and Patricia Drive.
Two teenagers were reported to have been involved in the argument with Napier.
Police said they have been pursuing strong leads in the case.
At the time of his murder, police said they were searching for Napier for a charge of aggravated burglary.
Napier was identified by a nearby resident as the man who tried to break into her apartment after knocking on her door on August 9. She said Napier initially wore a bandana over his face, but that it fell off after she pinned his arm inside the door in the effort to keep him out.
