One person was killed in an early morning crash on Interstate 65 South in Brentwood.
The wreck happened around 4:05 a.m. Saturday near the Moores Lane exit.
According to reports, a victim of a previous crash was lying in one of the lanes. A vehicle swerved to miss the victim, but a second vehicle behind the first was not able to move in time and hit him.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Max Villafane, of Lewisburg.
Investigators closed all but one lane, creating miles of traffic backup for hours while they worked at the scene.
The investigation remained ongoing.
