NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in North Nashville sent a man to the hospital.

Officers were called to 14th Avenue and Underwood Street about 3 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Once arrived, they found 23-year-old Denzel Dotson at the scene, who had been shot in the leg twice.

Now, police have arrested 26-year-old Jeffrey Ragland.

Ragland has been charged with attempted murder and unlawful gun possession.

Video surveillance shows that a man, who was later identified as Ragland, pulled up next to Dotson as he was walking on Underwood Street. According to Metro police, Ragland got out of the car and shot at Dotson. Dotson said that Ragland shot him because of an ongoing dispute between them.

Police say Dotson has non-life-threatening injuries.
