NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Family and friends of the Waffle House shooting victims held a vigil the night before the suspect, Travis Reinking, appeared in court.
They want the memory of Taurean Sanderlin, Joey Perez, DeEbony Groves , and Akilah Dasilva to live on.
DaSilva's family started the vigil with his music followed by prayers. They said it was a time to reflect on the senseless act and to uplift one another.
DaSilva's brother said he has no choice but to fight against gun violence. They plan to attend that hearing Friday morning.
