A vintage one of a kind motocross bike was stolen from a home in Rutherford County, leaving the owner trying everything he can to track it down.
Tre Faulkner began riding and racing some thirty years ago, you can say the race track is his second home and his bikes are an extension of his family.
"Last time I raced, I got first and second place and it was about ten days ago," said Faulkner.
He won that race on one of his most prized possessions, a vintage 1981 YZ465. The model is so rare there's only a few of them left in the United States.
"There's less than ten of them that are restored in the United States right now and probably less than 100 of them that are in running condition in the whole world," Faulkner said.
However, on Wednesday Faulkner came home and noticed the bike was missing. "I was like wait a second, where's my ole' yeller. I looked around for literally 15 minutes thinking ok, am I losing my mind? Where did I put it? It just dawned on me, it's gone, somebody stole that thing," Faulkner explained.
He suspected whoever did it noticed the bike a few weeks back when some tires and wheels were stolen from his shed, he doubts they have any idea of what they took and is offering a $2,000 cash reward for help getting it back.
"If they'll return it, I would greatly appreciate it. I will not press charges but I can't give you the $2,000, I just wont press charges. If you do not return my bike, we will find you and I will press charges," said Faulkner.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office was in charge of the theft investigation.
