The man behind the legendary voice of UT football in Knoxville Tennessee, John Ward, has died.
Ward was an advertising executive and one of the most beloved broadcasters and ambassadors for the University of Tennessee.
According to the Vol Network, Ward passed away Wednesday night in Knoxville.
Over the many years and football broadcasts, Ward became known as the "Voice of the Vols.
Ward was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara.
