CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A warrant has been issued for the suspect police believed shot a woman through her front door in Montgomery County.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. on Cranklen Circle in Clarksville.
Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said 31-year-old Michael Flippen Jr. shot through the front door, hitting the woman in the back.
She was transported by ambulance to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene. Investigators determined the suspect was Flippen after his father’s red 1995 Toyota T-100 was seen in the area. It was unknown if he and the woman knew each other.
A warrant was issued for Flippen’s arrest. He was wanted on charges of criminal attempted homicide and reckless engenderment.
Officials said Flippen maintained addresses in both Hopkinsville and Clarksville.
