Water Restrictions Lifted In Clarksville

Officials have lifted mandatory water usage restrictions in Clarksville due to a water main leak.

Clarksville Gas and Water officials said the north side of the city had been affected from Fort Campbell Boulevard to Interstate 24; and from the Kentucky state line to Little West Fork Creek and Hazelwood Road.

All customers can now return to normal usage.

“Water system personnel work around the clock to deliver safe and reliable drinking water to the citizens of Clarksville,” Mayor Kim McMillan said.  “We sincerely appreciate the North Clarksville customers’ patience and cooperation during the water main repair work.”

Officials said the cooperation of residents to reduce water consumption during the repair helped the distribution system return to normal operation. Water storage tanks reached normal levels soon after the repair.
