WHITE HAVEN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two woman have been arrested as the result of an investigation regarding elder abuse by the Robertson County Sheriff's Office.
Police received information about the possible abuse of an 85-year-old female living at the White Haven Assisted Living Facility who may have been suffering abuse.
The investigation determined that the victim has suffered visible injuries after she has been assaulted by two staff members.
The staff members, 35-year-old Renika Sanders and 61-year-old Delene Merriweather were arrested on Friday.
According to police, the Sanders and Merriweather had been involved in repeated arguments regarding politics and other matters with the victim.
Both suspects have been charged with abuse or neglect of an adult and have bonded out of Robertson County Detention Facility on $10,000 bonds.
This investigation is still ongoing.
