Metro Nashville Police officials have identified a woman found murdered in a field at Whitsett Park.
The body of 47-year-old Tonya Michelle Pack was found in the field off E. Thompason Lane on St. Louis Street Saturday morning around 7:20 by a cyclist in the park.
Two homeless persons who were camping nearby told detectives that they heard arguing between a man and a woman in the park late Friday night.
Police say Pack, lived in a boarding house on St. Louis Street, died from a non-gunshot related trauma. She had no identification on her when she was found. An out of state relative has been located and informed of her death.
Anyone with information about Pack’s murder, including the identity of a man she may have been seen with Friday, was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
