NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville School Board member Will Pinkston officially stepped down Monday - six months after announcing his resignation.
Pinkston said he felt obligated to remain on the board until voters approved a charter amendment that says Metro Council can appoint someone to fill the remainder of his term -- which expires next year.
In a letter to board chair Anna Shepherd today, Pinkson also said he wanted to get past the 2019 charter school application process before vacating his post.
